 History of Martial Arts Minimize

All who practice Martial Arts focus on one or more things: Self-Defense, Sport, Mind, Body and Soul. Historians believe that the first sign of Martial Arts can date back to the beginning of time when mankind had to defend themselves from wild animals and enemies.

Most Martial Artists compete in tournaments and competitions. Some schools believe that competitions will help Martial Artists become better and is a place for good sportsmanship. Others believe that competitions bring out the wrong practice of winning trophies. Popular competitions involve Sparring, however, a lot of Martial Artists like to compete in non-sparring competitions such as Breaking or Forms.

Over time, the number of different Martial Arts in the world has grown and multiplied with hundreds and thousands of schools. All Martial Arts work hard towards reaching certain goals and teaching the art in a positive way.
